PT Lion Metal Works Tbk (‘the Company’) was established on August 16, 1972 in Jakarta in the context of Foreign Investment and was established which is a collaboration between Indonesian businessmen, Singaporean and Malaysian companies.

In 1993 the Company obtained approval from the Chairman of the Capital Market Supervisory Agency (BAPEPAM) to conduct a Public Offering of shares and listed a portion of its shares on the stock exchange.

On April 7, 1997, the Company acquired 96% ownership rights of PT Singa Purwakarta Jaya (“SPJ”) and in 2009 increased its ownership rights to 99.5%, a company which among others engaged in general trading, settlement (real estate) ) and industrial estates.

At the beginning of its operations, the Company produced office equipment and then expanded to produce warehousing equipment, ‘C’ canals, building and construction materials, hospital equipment, safes and safe and security equipment and now the Company has a production capacity of up to 60,000 tons per year which employ 1,082 employees.

The company has a plant in Jakarta covering an area of ​​37,130 m2 with a building area of ​​around 28,500 m2. In 2007, the Company bought a warehouse in West Gate, Sidoarjo, East Java, the Company bought 2 (two) office places in Kahuripan Nirwana, Sidoarjo, East Java as a marketing office. In the same year the Company expanded in the LION Industrial Estate, Purwakarta.
